Tiramisu waffles

During the Christmas and New Years holiday a lot of desserts have been eaten. One of the most popular dessert is without doubt tiramisu. Tiramisu with cookies, with gingerbread, with berries,… A lot of variation are possible. But you can surprise your guest this year with something completely different: Tiramisu waffles.

Ingredients for 4 persons:

4 servings Protira naturel

1 ½ tea spoon baking powder

A bit of salt

1 table spoon powdered sugar

1 table spoon instant coffee

8.80 oz plant based milk

2 table spoons plant based butter

Sunflower oil

6 table spoons coffee liquor

0.55lb cashew nuts

0.88lb plant based yoghurt

cacao powder


Put the Protira, the baking powder, the salt and the sugar in a bowl and stir the instant coffee. Add the milk and the butter and blend until you have a smooth batter. Leave for 5 minutes.

Grease the waffle iron and preheat. Pour some table spoons batter on the waffle iron and bake until golden brown.

Sprinkle the waffles with half of the liquor and keep them warm.

Prepare the filling. Blend the yoghurt, the other half of the liquor and the cashew nuts until you have a smooth consistency without crunches. Spread the filling over a waffle and put another waffle over it. Decorate with some cacao powder and powdered sugar and serve while hot.
